The news has been a little sparse here lately, for a couple of reasons, but neither of them are cause for concern. First, it's the 'off-season' guys. Halo 1 has been out...well, forever, Halo 2 has been out for a good long time, and Halo 3 still has to bake awhile before it's ready for consumption, so the site you're seeing now reminds me more of the 'old HIH' more than it ever has. Much of the idiocy has died down, people are having fun, and things are running fairly smoothly. ENJOY IT. :)
Because we're in this in-between period, we could simply post every dumb little video that comes along, simply to fill up space on the frontpage, but I'm glad to say that we're NOT going to do that. When something cool comes along, we'll post it. Until then, play some Halo, drink some coffee, chill on the forum, and enjoy yourselves.
NOTE ABOUT NEWS: Guys, make use of the newsposting forum. If I don't have time to check anything else, I always check that section. So, if you post a great video on the forum, and don't put a link to it in the newsposting area, you're only hurting yourself.
Secondly, I've shared with the mods and admins that my time has been severely limited lately, simply because of real-life issues. Nothing bad - just the normal full-time job/wife/kids/life sorta stuff. I'm still here every day for awhile, though you might not know it, and the other admins and mods have been doing a fantastic job keeping the place swept and mopped. I've been noticing a little dust on the ceiling over the bigscreen, but hey, they're trying.
Needless to say, I appreciate every member here who comes by for a few minutes a day and adds to the conversation. As I've said before, we're not out to build any empires, or be the biggest and best. Heck, we're a site about tricking. :) If HIH remains a good place to come for some fun and relaxation, it's worth the bandwidth in my eyes.

When my vids start circulating around, I actually wasn't intending on using the newsposting forum. It sorta gives the feeling that I'm begging for frontpage, which is something I don't need. But hey, no one can argue with a little recognization, and if it takes pain off the old man, I'll make good use of it when the time comes :p
By the way, Duke, T3T is like, dangerously close to completion, and I still don't know if you want to do anything. Rofl XD!

Yeah, then when you put it like that, I couldn't ask anyone or allow anyone to do it for me. Just how I'm not going to allow anyone else to edit my Halo videos. If I'm in a group project like T3T, whatever. But just a normal variety video (you'll get TONNES of Ms.Manesque videos, btw), never.

I understand it quite well. I know it helps the busy adminstrators, something I understand and respect, so I will of course use the news posting forum. There's still something that irks me about using the news posting forum, but again, if it helps out the admins, I'll do it. I think it's better than I use it rather than not use it at all, and thus force the admins to look about the forum for videos that they may take a liking to. While I like being able to find things in a central location, there is really nothing better than casually strolling along the forum, clicking on a thread, and finding the most wondrous video inside, and the person doesn't expect anything else but people to enjoy it. Ah, whatever, I'm blabbing. I have pizza to eat here @_@;
