Congrats guys! To be honest, I would have been surprised if you guys weren't invited.

It was a tight window, but not one that is all that greater in opening than that of the public beta. The entire thing was a gift and not a "right;"
in short... the majority of us will wait for Halo 3, and that is good. The beta is designed to work on what works and cast out what doesn't, unless I'm mistaken. Sure the beta is tons of fun, but so's Halo, Halo 2, and all the other games we have. :) Patience is a virtue in regards to games, but mostly in regards to life.

Heh yes this comes from a fellow who doesn't have the beta, hush thou, sez I. I for one am content in my reservation of Halo 3, and moreso in the fact that Bungie is taking the time to make a game that will live up to the glory of Halo 1, the drama and example of Halo 2, and ultimately present the best of both worlds (all while still stuck with Havok... excellent though it may be, the Halo 1 Hog is a glorious pinnacle of FPS gaming).

EDIT: I'm not in the Beta because I don't have Live, in case you were wondering. Rest easy guys, time goes on. :) It's just a game. And an early one at that. :D I want to see some hi-res Flood!

Yeah, i know, its sooooo fun!!! And I think I have an idea of bypassing the turrets...and pots, you should get live, even silver is worth it!

POTS, you don't have live yet. With the great potential of online co-op in Halo 3, I demand you get Live. I can give you a 1 month card. :)

I received one as well. Some (former) Bungie staff had a list of people that was submitted.. those people received "Personal" invites, not the random selection process of the Bungie.net ones.

Pretty much all Mods and Admins got an invite. The monitors had hope for the lucky drawing of people from Bungie.net.

Thanks guys, I'll get Live someday perhaps, for now I'm too tired and too busy to be much fun so I'll just pass until I get up to it. :) I appreciate your kindness though. :D

My biggest problem is I don't know much about computers and ethernet thingies and all of that, so I worry that it'd be more hassle than I'm really willing to put towards it, especially considering that the only thing I'd do on Live is trick with you guys. I'm a pretty laid back person when it comes to gaming. And I hear bad stories from folks about Live.
