Flying out of the hole!
BigGruntyThirst has another short and deliciously appreciatable (I'm trying to use more creative descriptions) video that pretty much duplicates my launch from the bottom of the maproom shaft to the top, except he did it in single player. Woah. I don't know what's up with this guy trying to make my poor little tricks feel inferior, but...I like it. :) Check out his forum thread for the video links.

In one of the clips, it's very obvious to me that you had the power to make it all the way up. The trajectory just wan't quite there.
