For the Holidays we decided to spam our friend's lists with invites to assure a random team and an easy win. Why were five staff members already assembled in a pre-game lobby ready to trick people into playing you ask? You'll have to wait on the answer to that. Let's get down to business. Who better to talk about our blunders in Game One then Game One's MVP: Sornos
The StaffPunk - needs a haircut
Ghost Faction - badmin
Reidon - loves to go afk
Sornos - new guy
ZuP - puz spelled backwards
The MembersForcefulXCon - probably a girl
PsH Bling - wears more bling than Mr. T
Maluu - actually part of the Staff
Mr0llie - runs through teles all the time
TacticalSanta - can't say anything bad about Santa this close to Christmas

Odd Ball on Epitaph

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=169894831Quick out the gate, the Mod Squad nabs the ball for a quick 10 seconds. Unfortunately, the Valiant Members managed to take the ‘Ball from our cold dead fingers and make off with it to the ever faithful Shotgun spawn. Once entrenched, we couldn’t get at the ‘Ball until Punk manages a sneaky grenade toss through the main lift scraping up a double. With their foundation broken, we quickly broke in and snatched the glorious skull. We could taste victory at this point. It tasted like sweet, sweet ambrosia, until it was wretched away by the cold, cruel hands of the Red Members. The Dastardly Members took the ‘Ball once we could see victory at an every so close 97 points. Mr Ollie then ran around like the coward he is and managed to take the Members from a losing 37 to victory in one fell swoop.
Members Victorious: 100-97

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=169914199Knowing that if we lost this game the Christmas Hillock Day would be over the Staff had to dig deep. Our strategy of running around the map wildly with no coordination or teamwork was executed perfectly and when the time was right, certain teammates decided to temporarily stop playing. When the Staff finally figured out that we were playing Capture The Flag it was too late. 0llie was making best friends with our flag and quick. Luckily, both Sornos and ZuP were on the ball (I was still playing Team Slayer) and each scored a flag. At this point in the game it was tied 2 Love (why not have a tennis reference?) and each team had the other's flag. Hearts were pounding and chix were cheering as we were rounding about at Rocket Spawn. The only problem: da chix weren't cheering for us. We didn't get far past the Rockets when they scored again.
Members Win: 3 to 2

Team Slayer on Guardian

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=169929507I was in my natural habitat during this entire game. Assault Rifling a little here and a little there to make sure to give them an even coating of lead. The Members weren't about to go down without a fight. Kind of like how a baby puts up a fight when you try to steal it's candy. It ended up being close near the very end but the Staff pulled through and won the game that meant nothing.
Staff Win: 50 to 47
Download the Video (Slot 21)After the games were over we decided to play three more games with the same teams to try to scrounge whatever dignity we had left and to boost our spirits for the holiday season. The Members agreed so we played Multi Flag on Valhalla, One Bomb on Last Resort and One Flag on High Ground. If you'd like to download these "friendly" games they can be found in
Reidon's fileshare under slots 22, 23 and 24.
